Stars Come Out at Chester River Fest

Rain or shine! Through strong winds and a bit of sky water, the stars came out for the community. 2025 Chester River Fest was very lively. From vendors to organizers, to passerbys; everyone had fun dancing, playing games, and learning. We had those who had never played soccer giving it a shot. We had former players knocking off the rust. Like last year, we enjoyed and encouraged each other to try any and everything available. Community has always been about coming together despite our differences. River Fest continues to prove it is possible.

The Chester River Fest is part of the larger Delaware River Festival, to connect residents to the Delaware River in a fun, free, festival that provides environmental educational activities, giveaways, and local resources. This event takes place annually at Seaport Drive’s waterfront promenade on the Delaware River around Subaru Park, where the Philadelphia Union play. This trail is part of Circuit Trails network, which currently encompasses over 410 miles of completed trails.

Youth Development United regularly hosts events on the Circuit Trails thanks to our partners and sponsors, especially The Pennsylvania Environmental Council and the Circuit Trails Coalition. In 2023, Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) launched the Circuit Trails Coalition Community Grant Program with funding from the William Penn Foundation, the National Fish & Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Each grantee organization leads programming on or near multi-use trails that are part of the Circuit Trails The Community Grant Program intends to improve access to and increase use of the Circuit Trails, particularly in historically disinvested communities and among marginalized groups.
