Summer Camp Recap

YDU recently wrapped up a number of Summer Camp partnerships including: Chester Apartments (Better Tomorrows), the Chester Upland School District, Eddystone Borough, and two of our own camps. We held a week-long camp at Main Street Elementary and launched The Summer Learning Program, an immersive experience for 5th and 6th grade students who traveled to six different colleges/prep schools throughout the greater Philadelphia area for daily experiences (stay tuned for a recap report specific to this program).

Students had an opportunity to continue exploring new sports and activities, led by trained coach-mentors at each site. In total we worked with more than 200 youth throughout the summer over the course of eight weeks. Activities included Soccer, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Track and Field, Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, and various academic and enrichment programs.
