YDU Exceeds Fundraising Target at DelcoGives MiniGolf Fundraiser

Youth Development United’s third annual minigolf fundraiser proved to be a resounding success and a delightful evening for all participants.

The event, hosted in conjunction with the upcoming #DelcoGives day of giving, raised over $6,400 from 53 generous supporters. Participants enjoyed unlimited minigolf, delicious Delco Steaks fare and other refreshments while appreciating the tunes of DJ Cory DA1 and a Lego activity table hosted by Matt Ralph of Snapology.

Hole sponsors included Juniata Men’s Soccer, Dan Reeves, Widener Men’s Soccer in honor of Fred Dohrmann, State Street Pub, The Cardell Family, AWSM Sauce, Nether United Soccer, Penn Fusion Soccer Academy, Kings Automotive, Ferro Fuel Oil, 122 Consulting Group, Eastern PA Youth Soccer and Future 500 ID Camp.

Special thanks to our volunteers: Jamie Taub, Manny Pickup, Jasper Hals and Colton Anckaitis, all juniors at Strath Haven High School.

Exactly one week from this fundraiser, YDU will host another minigolf party - this time for the Chester, Eddystone and Upland families who are registered for YDU programming. In addition to dinner and golf, families will be presented with care packages of healthy groceries and useful toiletries to help relieve their financial pressures.

One mom, Jasmine, recently expressed what Youth Development United means to her family: “I enjoy the program and what you all do for the community. It helps me be able to provide things for my children to come out and enjoy. I’m a single mom who can’t work due to health issues. So anything that is affordable or free is a blessing. I truly appreciate all you all do! Thanks!”
