Eddystone Wellness Program Grows in Second Year

Eddystone Elementary’s popular Winter Wellness program was extended this school year thanks to support from generous donors and community partners including The Community’s Foundation.

Participating students benefitted from mind-body-spirit sessions on mindfulness, art therapy, yoga and other techniques for feeling their best, and also got mental health boosts from outdoor reading periods and peer interactions in Board Game Club.

Many of the wellness students at Eddystone also participate in the Run/Walk Club and Soccer for Success programs.

All are facilitated through Youth Development United and its sister organization, Chester Upland Youth Soccer, and run by its Eddystone Site Director, Crystal Brooks.
